i have been making afghans for more than 20 years. i have been selling them nearly as long. i used to use various yarns, but i now work only in 100% cotton yarns. i've found that these afghans remain softer through the years. they especially wash and dry well. to enhance the softness, i recommend a bit of fabric softener in the rinse cycle.
